Tarantism with Tragic Roundabout

Tarantism a UK cult festival band based in Northamptonshire playing Ambient tunes & funky beats. An infectious mix of Celtic-Dance-Dub-Ska-Funk-Punk; a cult festival band returns to Lampeter. Supported by Tragic Roundabout – raucous, surreal celebratory east European-style acoustic punk.

Tragic Roundabout. “Five musicians and a drummer”. Clarinet, accordion, banjo, guitar, bass and drums with the occaisional trombone or trumpet make sure that the music stays on the more robust side of the acoustic spectrum. The sound is a kind of raucous and celebratory eastern european flavoured acoustic punk, heavily influenced by their busking roots. The music has a sometimes comedic, sometimes surreal quality but their outlandish world of lino men and camel herders is certainly infectious. The songs are characterised by the band’s considerable travels and the people and local tipples that they’ve encountered along the way. They have played extensively across the length and breadth of Europe, from Spain to Scandinavia, on stages large and small as well as on the street, even venturing into Russia and have been mainstays of the British festival and free festival scenes.

Kilnaboy, One eyed god, Reality Attack & Doghouse

Kilnaboy the band have been together since late 2003. It was shortly after the summer of 2003 that Dav, Brian and Jay would meet up with a slack handful of mates in the park, flagons of cider, litres of vodka and packs of tobacco, strumming trad folk protest songs until the wee hours.

Will appeared on the scene shortly after, delighting the ladies especially with his magic fingers!! Both Dav and Will had previous played in the band named Michaels Bones, with Chris Millington.

A couple of years went by with Gordon on Djembe and dig- he went off to play with Strawberry Gash. Drummer Chris stepped in and we introduced full=on banging drums and bassist John became part of what is now the evolved band KilnAboy!!

Many other musicians played with the band during this time, Jim from Dirty Revolution, Mark Bohdran (possibly part of the witness protection program), LGB (Little Ginger Bastard) Matt, not forgetting Alex Plows penny whistle player.. she went of to publish Text books in Ethics, Biology and Social buggery or something…x

Most of their ideas and influences stem from a protesting background and the constant frustration of trying to exist in an industry where music is lost in a void of cloned popstars.

Reality Attack are a crusty traveller punk band born out of the squats and sites of the late 80,s early 90,s with raw guitar and bass driven riffs with solid drum beats and considered lyrics.

Blasting out an infectiously ramshackle & raucous wall of sound, One Eyed God are a 5 piece combo Formed in 2011 the band have gigged across the UK ever since becoming regulars on the alternative festival scene. Their sound mixes sax driven uptempo punky ska, reggae & dub with fiery anti-establishment lyrics in fine style bringing to mind the likes of Back To The Planet, The Cracked Actors, RDF & Culture Shock.

DOGHOUSE; born out of the ashes of cult techno punk band, SICKNOTE. Embodying the same DIY ethics and spiritual anarchism… Laugh, dance and revolt.!!!
